IceKelp aimed to develop a sustainable seaweed economy in Strandabyggð, helping protect the environment and enhance local resilience. The Municipality of Orle aims to become a living lab for ecosystem-based management. The project assessed local challenges, established a pilot site for biodiversity protection, and applied A-AAGORA best practices. The Vallina River in eastern Asturias faces ongoing environmental degradation due to human activity and irregular water flow. This project aimed to restore the river’s ecosystem by clearing debris, controlling pollution, reforesting the riverside, and improving public access. Seagrass meadows in Limassol Bay are threatened by human activities, invasive species, and climate change. The ResPos project united experts and local authorities to restore these vital ecosystems using nature-based solutions.
