Digital participatory mapping

Digital participatory mapping is used to bridge the gap between science, communities, and policy.
Practitioners populate the platform with accessible information on local environmental challenges, while citizens use any mobile or desktop device to interact with digital maps — logging firsthand observations, priorities, and concerns.
This crowdsourced spatial data is then aggregated into a visual, quantitative "mandate for action", providing public officials with an evidence-based framework to gauge community consensus and directly inform e.g. climate adaptation strategies and formal policy decisions.
